Coffee Cart

Students learn the essential workings of a small business from developing a business plan, marketing and communication to inventory, customer service and product delivery.  Students in this class have developed a staff coffee cart that they have named Tilly’s Coffee.  From the name to the logo, students worked together to develop a business of their own.  Some of the tasks that student workers complete on a regular basis include processing and filling orders, item inventory, baking and coffee/tea/hot chocolate preparation.  This year, students even created a commercial to drum up staff interest and sales!  Teamwork and communication are major skills that are focused on in this class.
